About Us

The Amp contains a black box performance area with up to three small stages, a fully-equipped ceramics studio, a large recording studio, a number of smaller visual arts and music practice studios, and a gallery that can host show, fundraisers, parties, and other events.

We are currently working with community nonprofits like Morris Arts, MCOHA, IDEA Cultural on an exciting partnership called the Arts Hive – more details to come!

A Home for Every Art Form

The Amp is designed to welcome makers of all kinds. Its versatile facilities include:

A flexible black box performance space with up to three stages, perfect for

theater, dance, concerts, screenings, and experimental performance.

An open gallery space for displaying the work of local artists that can change
shape and size to suit the needs of the artwork being shown.

Two large teaching classrooms for educational programs, workshops, and
community gatherings.

A full ceramics center featuring three dedicated ceramics rooms, two electric
kilns, a range of Amaco cone glazes, and six Shimpo VL Whisper pottery wheels
– a haven for both beginner and advanced ceramic artists.

Three visual arts studios supporting painting, drawing, mixed media, and
collaborative projects.

Three music rehearsal rooms that give musicians space to practice, create,
and refine their craft.

A professional audio recording studio equipped for everything from music
production, podcasting, audio book/voiceover recording, and more.
